perfect base to explore parks and nearby attractions
i had a delightful stay at the antelope, as it was just a short walk away from cyfarhfa park and cyfarhfa castle, making my city strolls easy and enjoyable. The friendly staff made me feel right at home throughout my visit.

The room felt cozy with thoughtful decor throughout, perfect for unwinding after a long day. The bar area had a great vibe, ideal for a nightcap after your adventures.
Wi-Fi signal barely existed, rendering it impractical for anything requiring connection. The single bathroom shelf could use an upgrade for toiletries, and the need for more plug sockets is evident. with a kettle and fridge running, there's barely any room for charging devices. Concerns about car security lingered due to a vehicle theft on-site during my stay, though I understand this isn’t the hotel's fault.

Magical moments at The Antelope
My stay was delightful, with incredibly friendly hosts Neil and Claire who provided exceptional service throughout. The bar exuded a warm atmosphere, especially with the cozy log burner.
The public parking area at the back gave me a moment of concern, so I appreciated Neil arranging secure parking behind locked gates for peace of mind.

Consider asking for secure parking behind locked gates if you're concerned about your vehicle in the public lot.

The atmosphere in the bar was lively, making for a great way to unwind after a long day.
The shower could benefit from a better caddy for toiletries, as there wasn't a convenient place to store them while showering.

well-stocked bar, cozy log burner, easy check-in
The public parking area felt a bit concerning at times!!! A more secure parking option should be readily available!!! The bar area could benefit from additional space as it gets cramped!!!

I stayed for a night to explore the nearby attractions like Cyfarthfa Park and Cyfarthfa Castle, which were both easily accessible. The room had a fresh and thoughtful decoration, making it comfortable to relax in after a day out. Breakfast was a treat, with generous servings cooked perfectly, although the sausages could be improved. The atmosphere in the bar was lively, and the hosts were warm and welcoming, making sure we felt right at home.

Staying at The Antelope was a delight! The dining experience was top-notch, especially the extensive menu and generous portions—breakfast was unbelievable! The atmosphere in the bar was lively, where I felt right at home chatting with locals. Parking was convenient, with Neil securing a spot behind locked gates, making everything hassle-free.
My only slight reservation was about the public car park at the rear. with all my kit in tow, I preferred the locked gate solution, just for peace of mind in a new town.
